<p>One of the most feared changes people face when getting older is exactly that, feeling older and looking older. People have the mixed notion that women worry about this more, when in fact this is just as much of a concern for men as well.</p>
<p>It can and will happen to even the best of us and some a lot sooner than others.  What you may not realize, is there is a natural way to prolong your youthful skin by staying active. </p>
<p>With each passing year, our bodies loose a percentage of muscle tissue.  However,if you take the time to stay active with strength training exercises in as little as 2-3 times per week, this will help reduce the signs of aging and rejuvenate the skin.</p>

<p>A strong and healthy immune system is vital for good health. The protein we consume is not only converted to energy but<br />
is also used to build and repair muscle tissue. It produces new antibodies and white blood cells which allow our bodies<br />
to fight off infections and illnesses. white blood cells, also referred to as killer cells, are essential in fighting off diseases and illnesses such as cancer. If you have strong muscle tissue it will allow your body to fight and recover from illness faster.</p>
<p>By consuming more protein in your diet, it will increase the human growth hormone. The Human Growth Hormone, or HGH, is known to be the best anti aging treatment. As we get older, we produce less HGH. Studies have shown that short burst exercises can increase your HGH level which in turn slow down the effects of aging.</p>
<p>Although walking, running and bicycling are great means of exercise to keep your heart and lungs healthy, this will not reverse muscle tissue loss. A strength training program does take commitment and is hard work, but the payoff is beneficial in the years to come. However, if you don&#8217;t exercise to a degree of intensity, as with anything, you&#8217;ll only get minimal results.</p>
<p>Short workout bursts with rest periods will boost your anti aging hormones and enzymes which will make you look and feel great. 8-12 intervals of sprinting for only 8-10 seconds alternating with 1 minute of walking, will significantly build strong muscles. You can also benefit from 10-15 repetitions of resistance weight exercises, heavy squats and lifts. </p>
<p>If you keep your muscles strong and healthy throughout your life, by having a consistent strength training program you will see the benefits in the way you look and feel. Remember, a strong health span equals a long life span.</p>

<p>Lack of activities can prevent you from living healthy. When you do not enjoy activities, you may feel fatigue or find it difficult to sleep at night. <p>Having a good night sleep makes the mind think more clearly. A good night sleep also boosts your energy while controlling your weight. You can also make decisions with less stress. Sleeping well at night makes our immune system stronger to keep us healthier.  Researchers have proved that a good nights sleep is necessary for our health.  Researchers have found that lack of sleep reduces the growth hormones in our bodies, since it changes muscles to fat. Sleep overall is most important, yet it stands behind activities. To improve your health, try walking each day. </p>
<p>Walking will help to loosen our muscles, reduces stress and depression along with anxiety. By reliving these things, it will help us to sleep for a longer and deeper period.  So, when we wake up in the morning we feel happier and more rested.</p>

<p>When you exercise, you get a good night sleep, which promotes metabolism. Without the right amount of sleep, our bodies crave energy. Our body will release insulin or glucose into the bloodstream, which slows down metabolism. This action causes the body to gain weight, rather than control weight.  </p>
<p>When a person feels exhausted, they will feel weak and repressed from enjoying activities. This leads to additional problems. Sleeping right balances out our bodies giving us, more energy leading to more activities that will satisfy our sleep needs.</p>
<p>What to avoid:<br />
To rest proper and feel active you must reduce your intake of caffeine, nicotine, harmful chemicals, such as over-the-counter meds that keep you awake, alcohol and so on. The chemicals and substances will keep you awake. Try to avoid drinking anything after 8 p.m. in the evening. Nicotine should be avoid if possible, yet if you must smoke try to avoid smoking after 8 p.m. </p>
<p>Start a walking program in the morning to help wake you up, while boosting your energy. You will feel better since the joints will feel flexible enough to move freely. In addition, walking will help you burn fat and calories. You’ll notice a big change in how you feel the rest of the day.  Start out walking at a slow steady pace for as far as your comfortable.  Each day pick up the pace a bit and walk further. Just remember when walking that you want to work up to a steady brisk walk to make you sweat but not out of breath. Take a short walk before and after meals to calm your nerves, and burn calories too, it will give you energy, relieve that stress from the long day and help you sleep.</p>
<p>If you start a walking program for yourself, it is a lot more fun if you have someone to go with you. Talk to that neighbor you don’t know and maybe they’ll walk with you. Just think about it; you’ll be acquainted with someone new, talk about new things will relieve stress and get in you exercise as well. This might help that neighbor too who maybe hasn’t seen or talked to anyone in a couple of days and than they can sleep better at night. </p>
<p>After walking that brisk walk your doing be sure to cool down. When walking at a vigorous pace your heart rate will go up and it needs to be back to normal. Just walk a bit slow and relaxing until you’ve cooled down. </p>
<p>If you can’t go to sleep at night instead of getting up and turning on the TV try pacing around the house. Do some stretching and shake your arms and legs. Even walking around the house can relax you especially when everyone else is in bed and you can relax more.</p>

<p>As a Baby Boomer, it’s important for you to realize that exercise can do many things for your health and well being.</p>
<p>In fact exercise, when done correctly, will actually help you to look and feel younger.</p>

<p>Now, what do you need to do to gain the benefits that exercise can offer to you?</p>
<p>There are actually three key parts of the exercise regimen that you want to install into your life as part of your regular program. This is not a program that should be done only for a certain time period but over the course of your lifetime as long as your doctor approves of it.</p>
<p>By incorporating these key elements into your lifestyle, you will actually be building a healthier body that will live a longer and healthier life.</p>
<p>The three things that you must take into consideration include these:</p>
<ul>
<li>Your Heart: You need cardiovascular training that is centered on improving your heart’s function.</li>
<li>Your Muscles: Strength training is necessary for you. You need to improve the function of your muscles.</li>
<li>Your Joints: Flexibility training increases the range of motion and discourages the onset of conditions such as arthritis.</li>
</ul>
<p>If you don’t believe that it’s important to take into consideration any of these elements, consider these very frightening facts:</p>
<p>When you turn 60, you can look forward to having lost at least half of the strength you used to have. You also won’t be able to count on not breaking a bone if you fall because your bones are much weaker. In addition, your lungs can’t pump out nearly the amount of air as they used to.</p>
